Tile Mural
Dining Hall Tile Mural: Ongoing, begun in winter 2017
This student designed tile mural has been five years in planning and this year, Ceramics I has started this project. It is a student designed and executed project with the approval of our Hawaiian kumu (teachers and leaders). The mural will be installed in the dining hall and will have the theme of native Hawaiian food. Each year a new section will be added, and for the first section the focus is on Kalo, the staple of the native Hawaiian diet. The second mural "The Legend of Ku and the 'Ulu Tree was completed and installed in the Spring of 2018.

Students in Ceramics II designed and create their teapots and teacups using a variety of building methods: Wheel, Sculpting and Extruding.
Other projects are included to show a focus on identity, culture and a variety of building techniques and media.
